Have you been recently diagnosed with MS?
Being diagnosed with MS can bring forward a range of emotions. There might be relief at knowing what is causing all of the symptoms, fear at what the diagnosis means and even anger. It is quite normal to experience shock, anger, frustration, grief and the feeling of "this can not be happening to me".
A diagnosis of MS can be unsettling for you, your family and friends. You may feel overwhelmed with the amount of information provided to you, and unsure where to go for assistance.
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of SA & NT was formed to provide information and support to people with MS. MS is a condition that is unpredictable and often very different from person to person. It is important that you speak with health professionals and are provided with accurate information. The way MS affects one person, can be totally different to the way it affects another.
Contact the Society for information on MS, services that are available, or even if you just need to talk to someone about your diagnosis.
