GO TEAM MS! City-Bay Fun Run 2011 TEAM MS ran for a reason on Sunday 18 September. A 60 strong team dashed to the finish line from 12, 6 & 3 km, all proudly wearing their red TEAM MS t-shirts and embracing the MS Society team spirit. This year saw record numbers of nearly 35,000 people competing, combined with a perfect 28 degrees and an array of festivities along the track. TEAM MS gathered at Wigley Reserve at the end of the race to celebrate their achievements and thank their supporters, family and friends. A special thanks to our volunteers Jess, Maria, Graeme, Anne and Hannah for helping out on the day and to Fundraising staff member Belinda Scott for overseeing the event and ensuring that our Team members were well fed and rehydrated with a delicious sausage sizzle and refreshments. The MS Society would like to say a BIG Thank you to TEAM MS participants, supporters and sponsors. Your enthusiasm and generosity greatly contributed to making the day another successful and enjoyable event. We are delighted to announce TEAM MS has achieved its fundraising target of $12,000, an outstanding result which will greatly contribute to helping us to continue supporting people with MS. |
