Walk for a reason & raise $10,000 for MS

This year, we invite you to Walk for a Reason & Raise $10,000 for MS in the 2010 Sunday Mail City-Bay Fun Run. Join Team MS and whether you’re walking, running or ‘wheeling’ the distance, you’ll feel great knowing that every step you take is helping to change the lives of people living with MS!
Be a part of it!
Make it a challenge for the family, a group of friends or put together a work team. Whilst there are lots of people who participate in the fun run most are not registered as part of a charity team. Joining Team MS will not only give you greater satisfaction and motivation but you will be supporting a very worthwhile cause, raising much needed funds to provide essential services to approximately 2000 people living with Multiple Sclerosis in South Australia and Northern Territory

Fundraise to Win Great Prizes
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 and we need your help to reach it. No money from your registration into the City-Bay is given to the MS Society so we are encouraging each of our entrants who are registered with Team MS to obtain sponsorship, and fundraise. As little as $100 from each person entered will help us attain our target.
We have put together some great incentives for our Team MS participants and at the end of the fun run you will all be rewarded with a cooked breakfast, not to mention some great prizes for the highest fundraisers and random prizes too.

You have 3 options :

1. You can set up your own easy to use fundraising page together with the Team MS fundraising page on http://www.everydayhero.com.au/team_ms_7

3. Indicate on the attached ‘Team MS Entry Form’ that you would like sent to you a full fundraising kit with some great fundraising ideas and tips, a poster, sponsorship form and receipt book so you can start fundraising!
How your fundraising can help make a difference
Here are some examples of how your community fundraising efforts can support us
$50 can pay for two people with MS to have a specialist physiotherapist assessment and activity program developed
$400 can pay for four people to attend a 10 week physical activity and rehabilitation program
$1000 can pay for 12 people to attend a 10 week hydrotherapy program
It is the financial support we receive from our donors and fundraisers that allows us to provide essential services to people and families living with MS.
Process for joining in all the fun!
STEP 1
There are 3 ways that you can register:
Online: www.city-bay.org.au
Post: Downloaded Entry Form to: Sunday Mail City-Bay, GPO Box 29, SA 5001
In person: Sunday Mail City-Bay Registration Office, 73 Wakefield St, Adelaide
Remember to tick J: Charity groups for the Team Category and enter Team MS as your Team Name
STEP 2
Once you register with them, you will receive a City-Bay receipt number. You then need to fill in our ‘Team MS Entry Form’ to register your details with us by Friday 10th September. This entry form can be downloaded here or by calling 8360 0804 to have a form emailed or posted to you.
STEP 3
Start Fundraising!!
STEP 4
Collect your Team MS goodie bag and breakfast voucher from one of our office locations between Monday 13th and Friday 17th September 2010.
