Membership

There are a range of benefits and options available for becoming a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of SA & NT. Anyone can become a member of the Society, you do not have to be a client to become a member. Your membership will help to support people living with MS and grow the services provided by the Society as well as funding research.

Clients are not required to become members to receive our services, however if you are a client, joining up does help the MS Society to further develop and grow services and fund research.

New members who are clients receive the first 12 months membership free in the VIP Client category.

Membership Benefits

How Membership supports people living with MS and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of SA & NT:

• Helps support service provisions and growth to people living with MS, their carers and families
• Helps to fund Research into the cause and the cure of Multiple Sclerosis
• Ensures you have a say in the direction the organisation is taking and the services it provides
• Ensures that the MS Society has a strong and accountable governance framework
• Increases our “political voice” to ensure we can lobby government for change

Membership categories

Due to the changing nature of our sponsorship and partners, Membership benefits are subject to change without notice.

VIP Client Membership (clients only) entitles you to:

• Vote at the Annual General Meeting;
• Nominate for a position on the Board of Directors;
• Access to services;
• Network News E-Newsletter containing updates on research and development news;
• Quarterly copy of the Network Magazine;
• Invitation to special events and information sessions;
• Membership Pack including membership card.

Membership Fee: $15.00 per annum (GST Inc.)
*First 12 months free for new members

Bronze Membership entitles you to:

• Vote at the Annual General Meeting;
• Nominate for a position on the Board of Directors;
• Network News E-Newsletter containing updates on research and development news;
• Invitation to special events and information sessions;
• Membership Pack including membership card.

Membership fee $15.00 per annum (GST Inc.)

Silver Membership entitles you to:

• Entitlements as per Bronze membership plus;
• Quarterly copy of the Network Magazine;
• Hard copy of the Annual Report;
• One free ticket to our Red Hot Summer Lottery per annum (First Prize is $100,000 cash)*;
• Eligibility for Therry raffle draw. 5 free double passes to be drawn throughout the year.

Membership fee $75.00 per annum (GST Inc.)

Life Membership entitles you to:

• All of the entitlements as listed above for Bronze & Silver for life (if purchased after September 2010.
• All of the entitlements as listed above for Bronze & VIP Client for life (if purchased before September 2010).

Membership fee $750.00 (GST Inc.)

Gold Membership** entitles you to:

• Entitlements as per Bronze and Silver Memberships plus;
• One free ticket to two of our $100,000 cash prize raffles per annum, (Red Hot Summer Lottery, Cash Bonanza lottery)*;
• One free ticket to an MS Society of SA & NT event of your choice;

Membership fee $250.00 per annum (GST Inc.)

Honorary Life Membership entitles you to:

• All of the entitlements as listed above for Bronze, Silver & Gold for life.

Membership Fee: N/A

Honorary life Membership is bestowed on those individuals that have gone above and beyond in supporting the MS Society to achieve its mission. This membership will be awarded by the Board of Directors.

*Lottery tickets are available via redemption only. Your membership pack will contain a lottery redemption voucher that can be redeemed during the lottery period stated on the voucher.

** Due to the new fee structure, Life Members who became life members before September 2010 will continue to receive all the benefits of Bronze membership for life. To upgrade to the new Life Membership, a one off $400.00 fee will be payable.
