MS Society and Nursing

The MS Society provides nursing services to clients with MS. These services are based on support, education and medication delivery. Medication delivery is the form of assistance with Immunotherapy.

What is the Immunotherapy Support Program?

The Immunotherapy support program was established to provide physical and emotional support to those commencing immunodulatory medication.

The support program incorporates:

• Education on the benefits of management of immunomodulatory medication;
• Administration of the medication
• Phone call or follow ups by a registered nurse
• Face to face follow up with a registered nurse

Information

Information can be provided over the telephone, via email, face to face and in written format.

Services Available:

• Phone enquiries on MS
• Symptom management advise
• Specialist education relevant to MS
• Information sessions to other agencies, and
• Continence advice.

Referral

There is no formal referral process. Contact can by made by telephoning the MS Society.
