Death By Chocolate by Paul Freed

Tuesday 27th March
Ticket Price: $25 (Concession $20)

Director: Jan Rigney

A delicious comedy combining all the ingredients of classic murder mysteries ... blended with a luscious lampooning of today's health crazes. Members of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort are dropping like flies, including famed chef Edith Chiles. On the eve of the grand re-opening, this is hardly the best advertisement. It's up to John Stone, the manager, to find the cause ... and the murderer. Stone finds himself teaming up with Ed Parlor, mystery writer and amateur sleuth, in a wacky race against time. The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates. The suspects include all the outlandish characters working for the resort. Could it be Lady Riverdale, owner of the resort and a woman with dark secrets? Or Ralph Deadwood, gym instructor and all around cad? Dick Simmering, the aerobics instructor? Anne, the panic-stricken nurse? Or could it be "Sweet Pea" Meadowbrook, overweight and grieving daughter of the recently deceased founder of the resort? Death By Chocolate

Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig

Tuesday 28th August
Ticket Price: $25 (Concession $20)

Director: Jude Hines

Hysterical happenings and daft doings backstage and onstage.

In the madcap comedy tradition of Lend Me A Tenor, this hilarious comedy centres on George and Charlotte Hay, fading theatre stars of the 1950s. They're playing Private Lives and Cyrano de Bergerac in classic repertory theatre in Buffalo, New York with five other actors. But perhaps they still have a chance at stardom ... a famous film director is coming to town to see their matinee. If he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Of course, everything that could go wrong does, and knowing it could happen makes it even funnier.

The Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie

Tuesday 6th November
Ticket Price: $25 (Concession $20)

Director: Norman Caddick

A foggy night in a remote location, a mysterious intruder, an onstage body, and a glamorous woman holding a gun: sustained intrigue and fluctuating suspicion in the Christie formula. And, inevitably, a serpentine twist in the plot.

Michael Starkwedder enters the home of the Warwicks through a window in the study. He finds the dead body of Richard Warwick, and Warwick's wife, Laura, holding the gun that supposedly killed him. Despite the murder being obvious, and overwhelming evidence pointing towards it, Starkwedder does not believe Laura killed her husband, and she soon tells him she's innocent.
Another Agatha Christie play for everyone who loves suspense and detective fiction.
