MS Assist celebrates five years!

This week the MS Society SA/NT celebrates the fifth anniversary of our free call hotline and email service MS Assist! MS Assist has been providing people affected by MS with reassurance, guidance and information since its launch in 2012.

MS Assist is a dedicated telephone service for people affected by MS, their families, carers and health professionals. It is a safe place for people seeking information or connection to client services and supports.

Today MS Assist links people with MS to the supports and services provided by the MS Society client services team and has received over 15,000 enquiries! MS Assist specialist Amy Picton is the first voice people hear when they are first connected to the MS Society. She is a well-loved and welcoming voice for many of our regular clients.

MS Society SA/NT Client Services Manager Kate Mason says “Amy provides a level of service that goes above and beyond. Everyday Amy ensures the person calling has their needs met and has a better understanding of the services available.”

“Amy provides the information or connections to resources and tools which empower individuals to make informed choices.”
