Services we provide

Every person's journey with MS is different. At MSSANT, we take your individual circumstances into account, and tailor our advice and information to suit your needs.

MS Assist

MS Assist is a dedicated telephone information service that will provide people with MS, their families, carers, other professionals and the general public access to a wide range of information relating to community, private and government services that can assist you.

We recognise that not everyone has access to the internet and sometimes you might have a quick question or need a bit of advice as to where to go for a particular issue. Well, this is where our information service can help! If we can’t give you the information you need straight away, we will research it and get back to you within 24 hours. You do not need to be a Client of the Society to access this service – it is free and available to everyone.

MS Assist can help you with information such as:

  • Transport options in your area
  • Centrelink processes and forms
  • Local Council and State Government services in your area
  • MS Society services
  • Continence support services
  • Research updates
  • List of Neurologists in SA
  • And much, much more

Our free call MS Assist number is 1800 812 311.

Please Note: Calls to 1800 numbers from a landline are free, however some Mobile Phone Services may charge for these calls so check with your provider first.

The telephone information service will operate during business hours Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. Callers may leave a message outside these times and our operators will return their call on the next business day.

Peer Support

Evidence clearly shows the benefits of peer support programs and our Clients and people living with MS have found them to be friendly, supportive, informative and practical.

  • Learning more about MS
  • Sharing feelings and experiences
  • Obtaining accurate information
  • Providing an opportunity to talk through problems or choices being faced
  • Listening to others who share similar feelings and experiences
  • Helping others through the sharing of ideas and information
  • Knowing they are not alone
